Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy
ARVC is an inherited autosomal dominant – the RV myocardium is replaced by fatty & fibro-fatty tissue
Presentation: palpitations, syncope & sudden cardiac death
ECG abnormalities:
- T wave inversion in V1 – 3 in absence of RBBB
- an epsilon wave (terminal notch in the QRS complex)
- Localised QRS widening in V1-3 (> 110ms)

Management: –
- Sotalol (the drug of choice)
- Catheter ablation to prevent ventricular tachycardia
- Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator
